Broomfield delves into the Lee Wuornos case. She's a lesbian prostitute convicted of murdering 6 men. He looks at the largely American inclination to turn everything into a money-making venture. Arlene Pralle adopted Lee right before her first trial and settled on book deals. Steven Glazer, Lee's lawyer, arranged for payments, and negotiated Pralle's money deals. Even Lee's lover Tyria Moore, was found to be talking about a picture deal with the cops. Before Lee was arrested! Truly an unsettling look at something only real-life could come up with.

Converted to Tickling" is part two of a three part series "Box of Laughter" exploring the often overlooked fetish of tickling. Some say originality is a sin, a deviance to be corrected. What could be a more original form of correction, or deviance for that matter, than tickling? What could be a more sinful scenario than the nun meets the schoolgirl? Could it get any more sacrilegious? Come on though. It's laughter we're talking about as punishment. That's not so bad. Or is it? Perhaps it is... If you are caught on the receiving end. It seemed innocent enough. A school girl. A nun. The Act of Confession. A typical morning at parochial school, on the surface. Look a little deeper. Imagine our mother superior pierced in places God might never suspect. Imagine our schoolgirl as not so innocent. Our mother superior discovers our schoolgirl has been admiring other students at this fine girl's school and must pay for her sins. Now imagine how we punish naughty little girls in our tale of conversion. Tickling. What else? Buy from TLA Video 35 min. Erotica

Based on the play “Real Girls,” this romantic comedy begins as Robin, who is essentially married to her girlfriend of six years, and Lacie, who has never had a relationship lasting past sunrise, are cast to play lesbian lovers in a stage play. Enter the flamboyant director who takes them through rehearsals to bring more intimacy to their performances, bringing Robin and Lacie closer together—on stage and off. As the two women grapple with their confusing new emotions, they tell the stories of their lives—hilarious and tender both, as well as scintillating and sexy—to find out if they are truly a match made in heaven.

An erotic video, courtesy of Wolfe Video. And typical of Wolfe Video's erotic videos. Mediocre plot with some unexplainable actions (like who the hell would spend all that money on a dildo just to use it once or twice and throw it away?), cheap visual quality and no acting to speak of (then again, there's hardly any plot, so I can't blame the actors!) The story of a naval officer who meets up with a "tart". And they have sex. In an alleyway, and the hotel room. In black and white. The "other" stuff happens in colour. Or, it's a crock of bullshit, with each woman looking for her 15 minutes of fame by playing up stereotypical, outdated roles. Your choice.
We meet a butch lesbian who falls in love with a woman who is her sexual and psychological opposite. We're also privy to two lively groups talking butch-to-butch and femme-to-femme and about yin/yang chemistry and a love that borders on worship. My Femme Divine is a delightful and universal tale of falling in love, losing control and finding a divine wholeness in oneself.

Australian film. Lucy Lawless (Xena Warrior Princess) stars in this short flick about desire. A woman begins to feel overwhelming desire, and it's a tow truck driver (Lawless) who tries to release that desire. Lucy is gorgeous if a little on the scrawny side. With Greta Garbo as a straight version of the real Queen Christina. She kisses the Countess Ebba and says she will die an bachelor. Embraced by many as a crypto-lesbian love story, this classic drama features a severely beautiful Greta Garbo as the reluctant queen who spends much of the film dressed as a male. In an early scene, a trouser-wearing Garbo hugs and plants a full kiss on her lady-in-waiting (Elizabeth Young). Later, Christina comes upon the woman pledging her love to a man; jealous and hurt, she impetuously runs away from the castle. Christina eventually falls in love with a Spanish emissary, and the drama quickly turns into a heterosexual love story. The final shot of Garbo posed sphinx-like at the bow of a ship is unforgettable.

Queer As Folk (Season 1)

Queer As Folk is unquestionably the gay cultural phenomena of the new millennium. The American Queer as Folk is set in a mythical Pittsburgh - it's not West Hollywood or the West Village - it's a blue collar city where gay people co-exist with straight - just like where most of us live (actually, a lot of it was filmed in Toronto, where the OutTakes headquarters are located). Lindsay (Thea Gill, the blonde) is the mother of young son, who she had via artificial insemination with one of the other main characters, Brian. She's a house mom who is dedicated to her baby and sometimes to her lover Melanie (Michelle Clunie, the brunette). Melanie is a lawyer, she's Jewish, political, and not afraid of a fight. Although they aren't the primary characters, they've developed a lot over the course of the show. The baby, the break-up, the guy Lindsay was going to marry, the reunion... so much action in so little time! I was chatting with a gay friend about the show, and he remarked that he thought the sex scenes between the women were very different than those between the men. The lesbian sex scenes are (and I'm paraphrasing him here) gentle, loving, tender and erotic.
And of course there are the gay main characters! Brian is the gay man in the cast most despised and lusted after (although I think his doppelganger in the UK version is much cuter, if I was into that sort of thing ;). He's rich, arrogant, self-absorbed and into sex with any guy that moves. Michael is his best friend. He, like all the guys, lusts after Brian, but since they've been friends since they were kids, Brian just ignores that part of Michael (until he wants something, that is). Michael is a working-class department store manager, even-tempered and loved by all. Justin (Harrison) is 17, still in high school and totally adorable. Justin is also in love with Brian - but alas they are only "fuck buddies". Ted is an accountant who in search of love, whether its with a drug addict or a leather man. Emmett is his hyper queer best friend who tries to steer innocent Ted clear of trouble. The phrase that describes Emmett perfectly is: It's so hard to be a queen in a world of peasants. Debbie (Sharon Gless) is Michael's mother and the waitress at their favorite diner. Debbie is PFLAG personified, covered in buttons, with a totally accepting attitude (even if she is over the top in a series of over the top characters).

Most of you fans know what happens, but here's a rundown of major plot points in America's favorite queer soap. After being gay bashed at the end of season one, Justin can't remember the fateful night and Brian can't forget it. Because of his injuries, Justin proceeds to quit art school and fall in love with another boy. Michael breaks it off with Doctor David (who turns out to be homophobic in real life and never reappears on the show). Boring Ted becomes unboring as he is fired from his accounting job for internet porn surfing and starts his own porn website - with Emmett as his star! Emmett becomes an heir as he falls in love with a super-wealthy older gay man who dies while they have sex in an airplane toilet. In a particularly campy episode, Brian, Michael, Justin, Emmett, Ted, Lindsay, Melanie and Debbie all show their pride in Pittsburgh's annual parade. Michael decides to quit the Big Q and risks all to buy a comic book store where he meets the new love of his life, the HIV positive Ben. Melanie and Lindsay have a less-than-successful threesome as an attempt to end lesbian bed-death. And Ted finally confesses his love for the newly wealthy Emmett.

You might think the biggest draw to this film is to see Elle Macpherson nude. But she acts very well in this strange little comedy about a minister and his wife who try to bring some morality to a scandalous Australian artist. But it's him, and his three models, who manage to seduce Elle away from the straight and narrow. The life of a Lesbian whose acting job on a soap opera, and her relationship, is about over. The film is overly long and far too stereotyped for its own good. Reid portrays an actress whose long-standing soap opera character, Sister George, is about to be killed off. She is offered the role of a cow, if she really wants to continue acting. George, as she is nicknamed, is brutal to her younger lover. George forces her lover to eat a cigar, from which she obtains sexual pleasure, until Alice (York) pretends to enjoy it. George cries out "Now you've ruined it for me!" George is presented as butch, brutal, unrepentant and even predatory (Alice: "Not all girls are bloody raving lesbians"......George: "That is a misfortune that I am perfectly well aware of.") However, the character is also something that most Lesbians in films were not: resilient. She never gives up, and never gives in.

A luminous and impossibly youthful Deneuve and a gruffly Auteuil are lovers of Côte, a young student in over her head in a scheme that comes to involve murder. Deneuve, a professor of philosophy, and Auteuil, a police inspector, are drawn together in their concern for the young woman, who begins to unravel under the pressure of her destructive associations. The film is at once hyperventilating and elegantly structured, seasoned with staccato dialogue that propels the convoluted plot with wit, awareness and just the right touch of Gaulic pretence. Concisely drawn characters add depth of understanding to the rapidly developed story line; director Téchiné's command of the film is complete and admirable. An intelligent, adult mystery-thriller that makes optimum use of all its components.

Filmed at Canada’s first gay and lesbian comedy festival held in Toronto, this comic documentary features eleven of the best known and funniest queer comedians in North America:. Intercut between clips from each comedian’s routine are behind-the-scenes interviews. The culturally diverse comedians talk about the motivations, obstacles, struggles, pleasures, and success of being an openly out performer. They also tell of their struggles against homophobia in the entertainment industry, their family life growing up gay/lesbian and how their sexual orientation has become an integral part of their approach to comedy and their craft. In this irreverent and quite funny film, producer/director David Adlon (Jim Loves Jack) deftly blends information and humor to prove that the power of laughter can overcome social barriers.
