Relax It's Just Sex

Tara plays Queen Bee to a wild group of friends: Vincey who wants a boyfriend, Sarina and Megan who are breaking up because Megan had an affair with Sarina's male second cousin, Robin who is hot after Sarina, and even a couple of painfully handsome Christian gay men. Cool metro-sexual, poly-sexual, multi-racial storyline has Tara (Jennifer) wanting a baby with Gus,w ho doesn't want one, Vincey getting gay bashed and giving out payback of his own, Robin (Lori Petty) getting all screwed up over Sarina (Cynda Williams) who is seeing Megan (Serena Scott Thomas) and TC who says that AIDS doesn't exist and whose lover has AIDS. Mix them up in a blender, and you have love, loss and just sex. Even the beginning is hilarious, with gym queens and lipstick lesbians introducing the film so that the straight folks watching the film, don't get too scared!

1998. Directed by PJ Castellaneta and starring Jennifer Tilly, Cynda Williams, Lori Petty, Serena Scott Thomas and Susan Tyrrell.

Okay, I admit it, I confess! I have a thing for Jennifer. Even from before Bound. It was from Shadow of the Wolf, a cheesy film from 1992 when she played a sorceress, of sorts. So it isn't her acting. And I will, it isn't her voice. It's her bod. Yep, I admit it, and so should you. Jennifer is a hottie. Last I heard, she was 36-24-34. She often plays sexy, quirky characters, like Monica Moran (Fab Baker Boys) and Olive Neal (Bullets Over Broadway, which won her an Academy Award nod). Her role in Bella Mafia was pretty cool, too.

Jennifer does horror (Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky), kids stuff (Monsters Inc and Home On The Range), and indie stuff (most of her films). Now she's taken up poker, winning two significant women's tournaments just this year (her first). Now, that isn't what makes Relax a good film, and she isn't even the Lesbian this time.
